The Beatles are widely regarded as the most influential band in history. Beatlemania started in the early ‘60s after the group formed in Liverpool in 1960. John Lennon and Paul McCartney’s song writing took the band’s pop music and turned it into an art form after the group spent a number of years building their reputation and fine tuning their sound in Liverpool and Hamburg. The Fab Four of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr gained international success after cycling through a number of drummers before settling on Starr. The group disbanded in 1970 and each member went on to have successful solo careers.
